Building Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible person to join the board in order to work on ISN's biggest project: The International Student Club (ISC).
As building manager you will be responsible for the planning and development of the ISC, including the following tasks:

  • Coordination of the ISC committee, working on the business plan and policies;
  • Being the contact person for our stakeholders (university & municipality), together with the president;
  • Assess the financial situation, legislation (permits) and regulations regarding the project, and ensure the budget and business plan are updated accordingly;
  • Being the main spokesperson and representative for external parties (sponsors & partners)
  • Understand the needs of international students through the use of investigative efforts (market research) and experimentation (supportive role in the organization & evaluation of ISN events).

You will match the ideal profile of building manager when:

  • You have an interest in the development of the (international) student life in Maastricht;
  • You are able to take initiative and have good communication and coordinating skills;
  • You like to negotiate and are able to stand your ground when necessary;

 

Activity Manager

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person to join the board in order to organize our social activities on Mondays and Tuesdays.
As Activity Manager you will be responsible for the organization of our big and small social activities every Monday and Tuesday, these tasks include:

  • Leading two committees, the Social Monday committee and the Big party committee
  • Make shifts for active members for all Mondays and Tuesdays;
  • Make sure the set-up is done correctly and/or help with this;
  • Take care of decoration and music or delegate these tasks;
  • Being in charge for the organization of the event in general. You can delegate tasks, but you are the responsible person in the end. When other activities need decoration, the cantus for example, you are the responsible person for this as well.

You will match the ideal profile of Activity Manager when:

  • You like to organize (big) activities;
  • You have organization/planning skills;
  • You are creative;
  • You have innovative ideas;
  • You are able to take initiative and have good communication and coordinating skills;
  • You know how to be a leader
  • You can delegate tasks

For both functions:

We are especially looking for people who fulfill these requirements:

  • You are fluent in English (Dutch is a pre);
  • You are able to invest +/- 20 hours per week (2nd academic semester, starting January 2016), with the possibility to continue on a full time basis during the 1st academic semester of 2016 (starting in September);
  • You are looking for a way to improve on a personal level, boost your CV and have a fun at the same time

 

General

You will join the currently 6 headed board of ISN Maastricht. For half a year, till September 1st, you will work with them, for the second half year you will work with 6 new board members. In this way knowledge stays within the board.

You’ll get financial compensation for your work as a board member of ISN.

From next year one we want to have as many full time board members as possible. For you we are flexible: you can become part-time, full-time or half part-time half fulltime.
